Gold Cross Ambulance Honored by Governor Spencer Cox and the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of EMS

Gene Moffitt, Chairman of the Board and Mike Moffitt, President, were honored the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of EMS for pioneering Utah’s first paramedic program.

Gold Cross Ambulance was honored by Governor Spencer Cox and the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of EMS for pioneering Utah’s first paramedic program. Gene Moffitt, Chairman of the Board and Mike Moffitt, President, were honored for recognizing the need for advanced pre-hospital care over 50 years ago. Working with other healthcare providers, Gold Cross established a program delivering hospital level care in emergencies. This initial reshaped Utah’s emergency medical systems, improving patient outcomes and setting the standard for coordinated lifesaving field care.
